The Star Spotlight Series is an exclusive one-night experience dedicated to raising awareness and critical funding for additional, lifesaving resources in Southwest Virginia for families facing pediatric cancer and blood disorders. Receiving elite care should not depend on your zip code and at the Life Ring Foundation, our mission is Fighting Kids Cancer at the local level so children can stay close to home and close to loved ones.

Bringing together community leaders, philanthropists, and music lovers, the evening will feature a special performance by Lady A, including an intimate acoustic set for VIP guests followed by a full concert for attendees. More than a celebration of music, this extraordinary event is an opportunity to shine a light and bring hope for families who are in the fight of their lives bringing together the power community, generosity, and purpose.

Hosted at The Exchange in downtown Roanoke, The Star Spotlight Series will take place in one of Virginia’s newest and most distinctive live music venues. Housed within the beautifully restored historic First National Exchange Bank, the venue blends timeless architecture with state-of-the-art production, creating an unforgettable setting for an evening of music, philanthropy, and hope.

With your support The Lifering Foundation funding will enable Carilion to accelerate improvements in pediatric care coordination, patient support and clinical capacity, and fund seven new positions while the new Carilion Taubman Cancer Center construction is underway. These additional enhanced resources provide critical, immediate care and treatment for children and their families.

The Life Ring Foundation® is a nonprofit in Roanoke, VA dedicated to uplifting children & families by throwing a life ring in times of need.

Through personal experience by

Co-Founders, Kelly & Jessica Woolwine (pictured right), the primary mission of the Life Ring Foundation® today is the Fighting Kids Cancer℠ campaign.

Our Mission: to fund new resources for the pediatric oncology & hematology program alongside our partner, Carilion Clinic. Together, we aim to ensure more children & families can access top-tier care AND stay close to home.
